Your purpose

Have you ever felt like you were meant for something more?

Like there’s a higher purpose… but you just can’t quite put your finger on it?

You don’t know what it is—but deep down, you know you’re meant to do something.

Well… you’re not alone.

I’ve felt this my entire life.

When I was younger, I had no idea what I wanted to do.

There was no real guidance—just the typical:

“Go to college.”

“Finish school.”

“Pick a career that makes money.”

But… what does that even mean?

So, like many people, I picked something.

Computer Science.

Yes… me. A programmer.

And if you know me, you know that makes absolutely no sense.

I’ve always been outgoing, energetic, and full of life. Sitting alone behind a screen all day? That was never me.

It took me until my last semester to finally admit it:

This is not my path.

So I finished… and felt completely lost.

Once again, I turned to my parents and asked, “What should I do?

”And they said, “Why don’t you become a gemologist?”

I remember thinking… what is that?

So I looked into it.

A gemologist studies and evaluates gemstones—diamonds, sapphires, emeralds…

And I thought, “Okay… maybe this is it.”

I invested over $10,000, got certified…

and never used it.

Instead, I ended up working at the bank.

And that’s where I stayed—for over 20 years.

Now, I won’t say it was all bad.

I actually learned a lot.

And looking back, I can see that part of my journey was quietly leading me closer to my purpose.

What I loved most wasn’t the numbers.

It was the people.

I loved giving advice.

Helping clients.

Having deep conversations with colleagues.

Those were my favorite moments.

But no matter what role I had—and I changed roles eight times—there was always something missing.

An emptiness I couldn’t explain.

And over time… I drifted further away from myself.

From my values.

From who I really was.

Until eventually… I burned out.

And then something shifted.

I thought about my best friend, who passed away two and a half years ago.

And I told myself:

I need to take care of myself.

Not just physically—but mentally… and spiritually.

That’s when everything began to change.

I started going to church more.

I began opening my heart to my faith.

I started letting God take control of my life.

And for the first time… I got quiet enough to listen.

After 42 years of searching…

I finally heard Him.

And that’s when I started this blog.

Looking back now, I realize something powerful:

My purpose was always there.

Right in front of me.

But fear was louder.

Other people’s opinions were louder.

My past, my traumas, my doubts—they were all louder than my own voice.

And deep inside…

my voice was trying to tell me all along:

“Have faith. God’s got you.”

Today, I finally understand.

My purpose is to help others reconnect with themselves.

To help them find their inner voice…

so they can discover their own purpose.

Because every single one of us was placed on this earth for a reason.

A mission.

A calling.

Something bigger than ourselves.

And most of the time… it’s already within us.

We just have to quiet the noise long enough to hear it.

So if this resonates with you…

if you feel like you’re searching…

if you know there’s more for you but don’t know where to start—

Don’t ignore that feeling.

That’s not random.

That’s God speaking to you.

And if you need a helping hand along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out.

It would truly be my pleasure to walk alongside you. 🤍
